F.A.Q

24/7 Services

We give you full, short answers about garage door parts, different mechanisms and ways to maintain the system strong. Keep safe by learning how to align the sensors and how to deal with everyday issues.

How do I properly align my garage door’s safety sensors?

Our garage door experts say that you can tell that your garage door’s safety sensors are properly aligned if both the LED lights are glowing steadily. To realign your sensors, first remove the receiving sensor from the bracket by removing the wing nut. Next, point the receiving sensor away from the sending sensor until the LED light turns off. Wait for 10 seconds, then slowly rotate the sensor back to its original position until it lights up again. When you see a strong green light, put both the light and the wing nut back into place.

How do I change my garage door’s travel and force limits?

It is possible to adjust your door’s travel and force limits with the Door Control push bar. Here, you can increase or decrease the Up and Down travel of your door, as well as its Down and Up force. Note that your door will not need any adjustment if it is capable of opening and closing completely, and that it doesn’t reverse by itself when it is fully closed.

Why is my garage door opening without me doing anything?

If the door is going all the way up without you pressing any buttons, then there is most likely outside interference. This issue typically occurs when your neighbor's code is the same. In this case, you should change yours. Signal interference is highly unlikely.

What is garage door panel structure?

The structure shows how many layers each steel panel consists of. In case of single layer structure, there is one layer of steel. The double structure has rigid polystyrene insulation with vinyl backing added to the steel layer. The triple structure features two layers of steel with insulating layer between them. In this case the insulating material can be rigid polystyrene or polyurethane in foam form.
